Farewell from Miss Wells

Dear Gladstone Community,

It is with much emotion that I bid you farewell. Although I am excited for my next adventure at Hobsonville Primary School, I leave with many happy memories and good friends.

I would like to offer sincere thanks to Dave Shadbolt who forced made  encouraged me to try music teaching. My initial reluctance was short lived as I discovered the joy in music education.

This has been helped by a huge number of eager, musical, kind, thoughtful, crazy, hard-working, up-for-a-challenge, curious, interested, questioning, thinking and generally wonderful children. And their supportive and generous parents.

I wish you all the very best for the years to come and hope to bump into many of you around Mt Albert, as I’ll still be living in the community.

Fondest regards

Jessica Wells

Gladstone Prizegiving 2017

What a wonderful Prizegiving we had today.

We were lucky to have two fine Gladstone musicians play for us.

Enhao Yu performed a variety of music including Debussey and some Christmas Carols.

Enhao Yu (Room 15) played a the beginning and end as people arrived and then left. He also accompanied the students on the piano as they sang ‘Hareruia’ and ‘Little Drummer Boy’.

Ofa Tu’uefiafi accompanied the students on the drumkit for ‘Hareruia’ and ‘Little Drummer Boy’, and performed ‘Adios on his cornet beautifully.
