Options for term 2

During terms two & three we run options for all children in years 3-6 on a Wednesday afternoon. Each term they choose a new option. Term 2’s option starts in week 3 (17 May) and runs until week 10 (5 July). There are many exciting options on offer for the children to choose independently in class early next term. Some past options on offer were Kick boxing, library club, football academy and Masterchef. We also offer a few paid options for parents to discuss with their children prior to registering an interest in the below forms. If you would like to register your child please read the blurb and click on the link, you can register on both forms if your child likes both but they will only attend one of the paid options.

Snowplanet

Do you want to learn to ski or board? Progress from a beginner  to shredding up the snow and landing jumps. Then this is the option for you. Click this link to register.  https://goo.gl/forms/D8bMJkemeJl6A1L12 Cost $208 for term, this will cover instruction with Snow Planet staff for the full 8 weeks, ski or board hire, boots and helmet hire.

Robotics and more!

    Hi,

Only google form for snowplanet is working and am getting the following error about the Robotic form “This form can only be viewed by users in the owner’s organisation.”

  2. Russell

Also the post mentions multiple options to choose from yet there are only links for snow planet and robotics. Can a full list including prices be sent out please. Cheers

I asked last year for a full list of options, but it was never sent. In some ways I think the kids take good responsibility by making their own choices here, at least for the free options; not having my “help”/influence in choosing them didn’t result in catastrophe. It would help if the school could confirm whether this is the philosophy at work with giving the children the choice of options and not routinely sending the list to the parents (or not in my experience).

Hey Kelly, you are 100 percent correct about the philosophy we use. Children don’t get the option of discussing their option with peers before choosing. We as staff choose a passion we have to share with children, they can independently choose. After the children have chosen a full of options is available in class. The options also change termly.

Hey Russel, these are the only two paid options which is why we put them out to parents so you can discuss before your child signs up. All other options are provided by the school with all associated material cost covered by the school.

Agree with Robert, I need to see full list of options on offer before I decide to commit $208 to snow planet when she might rather play tiddly winks for free

Hey Etomia, these are the only two paid options which is why we put them out to parents so you can discuss before your child signs up. All other options are provided by the school with all associated material cost are covered by the school. We do work hard to keep cost of the paid options as affordable as possible.
